If you're a mask collector that's never heard of Joe Dolinich, don't be ashamed. Joe has been off the mask radar for years and it's my pleasure to be able to bring him back into the fold where he belongs. Now living in Arizona as a family man, Joe leads a normal and quiet life, but there was a time in which he was a true life Dr. Frankenstein of sculpting and monster making. Throughout the 80s and 90s, Joe had worked his magic on everything from catalogs, music videos, feature films, all the way to creating some of the most beautiful sculptures the mask world had ever seen. Joe was kind enough to take some time out and answer a few questions for everyone at The H.M.A.. I hope you enjoy.

NEW INTERVIEW WITH SAM MCCAIN!


If you’ve been a mask collector for a while, there’s no doubt that you’ve heard the name Sam McCain. Sam began to mask monster masks at the young age of 15, and from that point to now his resume in the mask world is most impressive! Whether it was working at Distortions Unlimited in the early days, starting his own company with Horror Sanctum in the 80s, or helping to produce some of the most memorable masks at Don Post Studios, Sam has definitely made his mark in the mask world and it seems as if he’s just getting warmed up. OUR LEGION OF MICHAEL WINNER!




The HMA received many entries to The Legion of Michael contest and all of them were terrific to say the least! With that said, we could only choose one, masked maniac and we chose Bonnie Staley for her MOST EXCELLENT photos! You gotta love the pic of Michael sitting in the theatre, just chillin' away.
