Incidentally , one of my "latter day" Topstone Mummies has a very elaborate paint job , but looks different than the ones I got from VXX. Just wondering if the Mummy was RESCULPTED at any point recently by a one of the new independent mask makers . But  truth is , it's difficult to top the VXX paint work!

Yeah, the Topstone Mummy was re-sculpted several years back as a tribute piece.

Thank you!

If any of you are in mask/horror related forums besides the HMA, UMA or CHFB, feel free to share these Topstone videos.

Excellent installment Ray! You hit the nail on the head. This was my hands down favorite Topstone mask as a kid. I had a chance to purchase the VXX recast and I regret not picking it up now. Great job!

I poster this at the UMA also:  Without trying to be a stick in the mud... it is a misconception to call the Topstone masks I produced 'recasts'. With the exception of a few of the very early Shock Monster masks, they were all made from the original master copies. A recast would be something that was molded from a production mask. I call them re-issues.  I have seen this posted more then once here & there so just wanted to clear that up...thanks...D

Another Great video Ray.

My apologies Darrell. You are 100% correct. Recasts are typically frowned upon in our hobby and it was a disservice to call your work that. Let me rephrase "I had a chance to purchase the VXX reissue and I regret not picking it up now."  ;)

Re-issues , and in most cases better than the originals IMO.

Thank you Darrell! I agree the modern Topstones are not "recasts."

Is there a source for a modern pull of the hooded witch? She will probably be the subject of the next video. I have several vintage versions of her, and I have the master. But I don't have any modern editions of her. And I've never even seen a plastic version. (I do have another plastic Keith Ward witch, but it's not the same character.) If I can't get hold of an actual modern example of the witch, a good photo would be sufficient.

Hey there Ray, is this the mask your looking for? Cemetary Gates used to sell modern pulls, like the one below. Pics aren't great, but I don't have the mask anymore

Hey everyone. I didn't know this place is still going!

I would also like to know where to get new blank pulls of any topstone masks, including that witch. I have the Brute and female vampire from the Devil's Workshop, but that's about it. Any help is appreciated!

Oh, and Mr. Castile, the videos are great. Keep 'em coming!

Sorry I don't have better pics. If those are any help you can have them. I'm pretty sure Andy and Joel both bought one back when I first got mine. I'm not really crazy about it, I think the Hag is much better.
