Thank you, Josh!!  I'm actually going to do an update on this because I have some new information. When I get some time I'll rewrite a couple of things and add some more pictures. I appreciate the bump!

Here are a couple tips to tell if it is vinyl or latex.  Latex stretches and vinyl does not have stretch.  Vinyl masks are usually thicker than latex (unless custom or the reissues) and they have a shiny texture inside with some "drips" which formed during the roto-casting process.  Also, heat can be applied to vinyl to bring it back into shape, but it has little to no affect on latex.  Hope this helps.

Thatís the old 67 plastisol Skull, Sort of pre-dated the vinyl that was used throughout the 70s
