Patching new latex onto cured latex
« on: February 17, 2016, 12:46:46 PM »
Hey guys, I'm new here and have a question regarding patching new latex onto old. I have a Myers mask that I'm very happy with, however the eye holes are slightly larger than I prefer and would like to have them made a little smaller. How would I go about doing this? Someone recommended using cab-o-patch instead of latex. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

hi- i'm new here too-lol
however i have a lot of mask making experience - www.handiboy.com
i have fixed eye holes in the past by building up layers of latex on the eye hole rim....depending on how much you want to alter them, you can build up one layer at a time....let dry b4 applying the next....then dremmel to your shape after 24 hrs

make sure you clean the eye rim with naptha or lacquer thinner..
