Oh, that Zendic Wizard!!! Hair properly applied can really transform a mask into something else.

It's a good scary face although I wouldn't know what to do
with those two stubby "antennae" erupting from its brows.
'Might lay hair over them, I suppose.

Characters like this really illustrate how much the look of
movie horror has changed since the days of Universal's
classic monsters. Don Post himself has expressed distaste
over "slasher" characters but he also understood the market
and remained in business through tough times, thanks to
Freddy K. 'Great vid, jupiter2.  :D

I love the history that you include in your videos, jupiter! I have one of these as well, and the same with mine: shiny in front, no paint on the back. I still have the hat as well.

I actually think the Freddy likeness is quite good. As far as latex Kruegers go, I still think it's one of the best. I've since upgraded to silicone Freds, but this one will always have a special place in my heart.

Enjoyed the Freddy video jupiter2! Nice work! Really surprised that they only finished the front half of the mask. I would expect that on the ones they made for Collegeville but not the Don Post version.

I'm a bit surprised too, Gory Glenn - I'm glad that Doh! could confirm that they are all like that. Forgot to mention that another difference is the longer neck trimming on the Don Post release.

As a kid, I had a Topstone Caveman although it may
have been a Gorilla. To this day, I'm still not sure ... :-\

I know what you mean, Maskahuna! The Cave Man and Gorilla were so close. My vote would be for the Gorilla with those exposed teeth and gums.

Another fine review! I'm always surprised when I see a Topstone survive for so long; they are tissue-thin!

I posted this link here about 4 years ago so it'll be a rerun for some of you, but I'm pretty sure the 60s Topstone Caveman made an appearance in The Dick Van Dyke Show (scroll down about 3/4s of the page):
