What an awesome score, Josh! Whoever painted it really knows
the proper look for that character.
We were all surprised that the mold on an unreleased DP mask
from the Langdon/Newman era could be re-discovered decades
later. I believe the first new test pull from the old mold was cast
and finished by late 1998 ~

Now if we could only locate the lost Uncle Creepy. What a pair they'd make!

I got it from the Tharps, thus the perfect paint job. Also, those are some great pics, thanks for posting.

'Excellent FtB experience, Doh! I always stay until the lights come on, too.

'My copy of the PMG MUMMY ~

It was created with other "Universal Monster" masks at Illusive Concepts
but marketed through Paper Magic Group in the 1990s ~

It's my favorite of the series because it reminds me so much of
the mask Jack Pierce fashioned for the 1940s Mummy movies ~

I want to seal up that awful eye hole in the brow but the mask is
made of some type of vinyl and my tape won't stick to the inside ...  :(

I didn't know that this mask was created at Illusive Concepts. Nice tid bit of info 'huna. I've always liked this mask for the same reason you do.

Heres a new addition you gents might be interested in. Don Post unproduced "long neck" 800 line Cousin Eerie. Sculpted by none other then the queen of plasticine herself Pat Newman. I like this version better then the production version. Long been on my holy grail list, glad to finally add him to the collection.

Perfect mask Josh. Seems everything the Tharps touch turns to gold. Congrats on a terrific score!

Never heard of that one, jupiter -- but I like the sculpt. Pretty good paint, too!

That glue, though...

Thanks for posting.

I never paid TrenchMouth any mind either but these obscure characters always seem to
move up a notch in my estimation after jupiter2 reviews them. That he's even able to
find copies for sale is mask magic itself! It's a good scary design but if it's humanoid
there should be some trace of a nose, if only skeletal. However I do dig its little deformed
ear. 'Something I always enjoyed about Don Post masks: you could pull back the hair and
often find disturbing little sculptural details otherwise hidden from view.

New score! Handiboy Studios calls it Final Frontier, appropriate since I think
it's the last word in Capt Kirk masks ~

As if fated never to stray far from its "Michael Myers" alter ego, the backside features
the sculpted outline of a butcher knife with Handiboy's name, the artist's initials, and
what looks to be a thumbprint. They even thought enough of my copy to use shots
of it in their promotional images ~

I like my TOTS version, but I love yours, 'Huna! The features are much sharper, and the hair is superb.

Newest addition to the collection, and just back from a visit to the great Maskahuna for a life sustaining fillin' of foam, a rare circa 1980-82 Don Post "The Count". First of the 2 "generic" Lugosi masks, and only in production for 3 years, this mask seems to often be overlooked.  This can probably be partly attributed too its brief production run but  mostly to it having the misfortune of being the 1st Drac mask after Pat Newman's masterful Calendar Lugosi (at bit like following the Beatles on stage) and coming just before Pat Newman's last pass at the character, the late '80s "Moonfan".
