Another great review, jupiter. I really like that sculpt, and the paint is nicely done as well. It was also clever of them to make the seam in the back just another one of his stitches.

Thanks for keeping these up!

'Fun review, jupiter2. I enjoyed your cutaways to catalogue imagery. I hear you
about "the potato syndrome". The catalogue samples are usually master castings
and general contours are the first things to go once production begins. Even one
generation down can make a difference.
I don't recall seeing this or most any of DP's latter-day characters in any local shops.
Where do you buy copies of these masks you review?

Thank you!

Maskahuna - I bought most of these over the years on eBay. I opened my eBay account in 1999, and there was a time when I would try to buy any Don Post mask with the tag, as long as I didn't already have it.
There are certainly many DP masks from the mid-90's to mid-2000's that I have never seen copies of, and probably never will. Maybe some were never even produced, I'm not sure.

I recently added these 2 incredible masks from The Devil's Workshop.

I ordered TheBrain Dead Brute straight from Pete - As seen on the cover of Weird Mysteries #5 from June 1953

Next up is The Ghoul from his 2010 Famous Monsters Cover project.

that Brain Dead Brute is an incredible piece. One of Pete's masterpieces for sure. He did a Santa version of that I wanted so bad but didn't have the scratch.

I love the Santa version! I wish he'd done more of the Famous Monsters covers.

It's cool where he draws his ispiration from. There is a ton of old horror comics, monster mags, etc...

Great scores Todd! Devil's Workshop produces some incredible stuff. I love the way Pete puts a psychedelic twist on a bunch of old favorites with all the crazy colors!

'Excellent FtB experience, Doh! I always stay until the lights come on, too.

'My copy of the PMG MUMMY ~

It was created with other "Universal Monster" masks at Illusive Concepts
but marketed through Paper Magic Group in the 1990s ~

It's my favorite of the series because it reminds me so much of
the mask Jack Pierce fashioned for the 1940s Mummy movies ~

I want to seal up that awful eye hole in the brow but the mask is
made of some type of vinyl and my tape won't stick to the inside ...  :(

If anybody wants one of these here's one at a great price!

There look to be two PMG Mummy masks up on eBay this week, one with a badly distended eye socket!

Here's my CONDUCTOR mask from Trick or Treat Studios ~

I've actually owned it for the past five years but just got around to taking pictures yesterday ~

I purchased it at a convention where, coincidentally, the screen-used costume was also on display ~
