It's pretty rad, isn't it? The bright green ooze always grabs my attention, and it's even got a sort of Melting Man quality about it.

Upon seeing this thread again, it occurred to me that we can't have a gross out thread without mentioning the Don Post Bloody Horror line. Though they made their first appearance in the 92' catalog, the line wasn't branded until 93'. Personally, I feel that this line of masks hit their absolute peak in 96'. Overall, it's one of the finest examples of gore masks that I've ever seen.

With Distortions Unlimited having established the popularity of gore masks in the 80's, American Mask and Novelty decided to take a stab at it, with good results.

Never the ones to miss out on a trend, even Topstone got in on the action. Their efforts in this arena were oddly charming, in that crude-but-fun way that only Topstone could provide. I mean, I'd totally own the one on the top left.

When it comes to variety, Rubies Mask Illusions line can't be denied. They had something for everyone, including gore-freaks. Some great stuff here, but Quilt, Meltdown, Stretch, and Brainchild are my faves of the bunch.
