Monster Room Pics
« on: March 06, 2017, 02:37:12 PM »
It's been awhile, I have been busy with life but took a few mins the other day to snap some pics of the monster room. I miss The HMA and all of its great contributors.

I did all the work on my room myself back in 2010-2012. I framed, insulated, drywalled, painted, tiled, and custom built all the cases and shelfs(except the detolf), but I did modify it to match my cabinets.  :D I was a video game and action figure junkie as a kid so I decided to dedicate a few spots of the room to my other childhood hobbies. My kids enjoy playing the older games too.

I still have a lot of stuff packed in boxes which I cant even fit in the room. I am working on a new space for more goodies outside this room so stayed tuned for more monster surprises.  ;)

For now, enjoy some pics...

Outstanding room GeorgeL! Very cosmetically appealing. I worked in the video game industry for nearly 10 years and own many old consoles and games as well. Cool stuff!

Great looking room. Your steal pipe mask stands are awesome. I designed some similar stands out of that pipe.

Wow, so much eye candy here!  I love those Topstones!  I've never seen a Vampire Girl done up with the more realistic paint job, very cool.  Love the Poltergeist clown head too.  That's another one I've never seen.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Stretch, the shock is from VXX, sent him a pair of hands to make a set.

Gummi, the vamp girl was painted by Cathy Tharp about 4-5 years ago.

Josh, I used the plumbing pipe between my display cases because I dont want to affix anything to the walls. I spent 14 hours painting that room with suede paint. Cant bring myself to attach stuff to the walls in case I ever decide to switch things up.

That plumbing pipe is the best. Greasy as hell when you get it, but you can make all sorts of cool stuff out of it.
