B Garret Nosferatu (Ancient Evil)
« on: December 10, 2017, 06:45:44 PM »
Anyone who attended Don-Con has fond memories of it. To this day I still think about it and have yet to have as much fun at any event before or since as I did at Don-Con. One piece of collectable memorabilia from Don-Con that I only recently purchased was Bob Shorts "Ancient Evil" which was sculpted live during the show as attendees got the thrill of watching a sculpt come to life from scratch. Of course at the time it wasn't called Ancient Evil. Most Don-Con attendees referred to it as B Garret Nosferatu because it was a melding of Bob's classic B. Garret Theta for Don Post Studios and the classic Nosferatu vampire. For those wanting to know more about B. Garret Theta here's Maskahuna's excellent post regarding that mask.

Here's some pics of Bob sculpting Ancient Evil at Don-Con

Pic taken by me.

At one point Justin Mabry and Robert Parigi jumped in to lend a hand.

As was intended from the get go the mask was produced by Trick or Treat Studios.

If you would like a copy of this mask it's a bargain on the ToTS web site right now for $29.99. Talk about a deal for a truly great Don-Con collectable!

Don Con was grand fun and so was watching "Ancient Evil" slowly rise
from its clay. Congratulations on scoring one and thanks for all the pics!

Thanks so much for doing this thread, Glenn! I've desperately wanted this mask since TOTS showed it on facebook last year. Upon first glance it...I don't wanna say it dethroned Frightmare, but it was immediately on the same level. I love the original B. Garret Theta design, so combining it with my favorite vampire was a bullet-proof decision. How cool would it be to see that design applied to other monsters? Maybe Frankenstein?
