Hair source for Don Post Karloff?
« on: September 10, 2018, 11:48:42 AM »
Ive just acquired a nice pull from a production mold of a Don Post Karloff. Iíve been looking online to buy some hair for it and canít seem to find what I am looking for. I was thinking black Mohair? But all of the examples Iíve seen for sale donít look right to me. Just looking for straight black mohair or something similar that is a natural fiber. Also something I could ďstyleĒ in his hairdo style haha. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Oh and I would be glueing this, not punching it.

Black mohair is good but Merino Top would work well too. They're both spinning fibers with numerous textile arts suppliers who deal in it online.
Check out the modacrylic fiber selection at nftech.com . It's a heavier denier than top wool but ideal for Frankenstein's flat hair style.
