Monster Moodboard: SNAAAAAAAAAAKES!!!!!

A couple posts back I mentioned I had a bunch of projects on my plate, all with a "soon" deadline. Here's one of them:



Item #61 : The Nest of Snakes. I actually mostly finished this piece last year and brought it to Mask-Fest last March, but I had to hustle to get it done in time for that, and I was never happy with the paint job. It was my intention to repaint it after the show and then get it online, but other projects and commitments kept popping up. And so, it sat in the corner of my studio, forlorn and neglected, until last week when I finally had at it.



This is the first haunt prop I've done in a while. I have more ideas for haunt items I'd like to execute before the spring, just in time for the start of the haunt buying season. I'm planning on doing more with snakes, creating a variety of pieces for a complete themed area, much like I've done with bees and grubs.
